How do you want to spend the final years of your life?
This is the focus of The Third Act, an ongoing first-of-its kind project that partners research expertise, thought leadership and journalism the Toronto Star is producing in collaboration with the National Institute on Ageing and Toronto Metropolitan University.
The aim of this project, which was launched in the fall of 2022, is to challenge governments, institutions and society at large to reframe our collective thinking about our later years as a time when older adults can flourish and contribute instead of being left to face decline and dependency, with the ultimate goal of making Canada the best country in which to grow old.
