National Institute on Ageing Welcomes Essity Canada Inc. as Founding Partner
The National Institute on Ageing (NIA) is proud to announce Essity Canada Inc. as our newest founding partner. Essity joins Bayshore Healthcare, Ernst and Young, Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan, International Federation on Ageing, Ontario Gerontology Association, OMERS, Robbins Geller Rudman and Dowd LLP, Sanofi Pasteur, Sinai Health System, Sunlife Financial, Torys LLP, and the Ted Rogers School of Management as founding partners and supporters of the NIA.
Essity has been a long-standing supporter of the NIA over the last 3 years, as a sponsor of the NIA’s Future of Long-Term Care Series, and an upcoming research paper on incontinence authored by Dr. Samir Sinha. This new partnership will further support the NIA’s mission to enhance successful ageing across the life course and to make Canada the best place to grow up and grow old.
“The NIA’s founding partners are integral to allowing the NIA to do the important work of advocating for solutions that promote the evolution and sustainability of Canadian systems and programs for older Canadians,” said Michael Nicin, Executive Director of the NIA. “I’m excited to welcome Essity to the NIA community and thank them for their longstanding support.”
“Essity Canada is proud to partner with the NIA in a continued shared vision of improved healthcare systems and better quality of life for seniors in Canada. The healthcare needs related to an ageing population require a unique and evolved approach with focus on independent living through the right care, at the right time, in the right place,” said Angela Douglas, Marketing Director of Essity Inc.
“The key opinion leaders at the NIA are extremely well equipped to speak on behalf of the needs of this substantial demographic change in Canada. Partnering with the thought leadership and knowledge within the NIA positions Essity alongside changes that will come in the future through the continued execution of the pans within the National Seniors Strategy in Canada. Essity is pleased to continue to support these essentials efforts while putting added focus on the essentials of care for our ageing population.”
Essity is a global hygiene and health company dedicated to improving well-being through products and solutions – essentials for everyday life. The NIA is proud to partner with Essity to further our goal to shift public policy and make Canada a place where ageing is a triumph and not a burden.
