Firoozeh Bairami

Firoozeh Bairami is a PhD candidate in Health at Dalhousie University, and currently works as a research assistant at NIA, supporting research initiatives related to the Cost of Aging (COA) calculator and broader aging-related policy research in Canada.

Firoozeh has an interdisciplinary background in health economics, policy and management, with more than 10 years of international working experience across various settings. Prior to joining Dalhousie University in Canada, she worked as a project manager at the European Society of Cardiology in Brussels.

Her current research focuses on aging, retirement income, and the well-being of older adults, with particular attention to social policies affecting Canada’s aging population. Her work has been recognized through several awards, including the CGRS-D award from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) and the Graduate Research Excellence award from Dalhousie University.
