Martha Foster
Martha Foster worked in public education for more than 30 years, starting her career as a science teacher in 1976, later becoming a school administrator. She has held many leadership roles including as President of Science Teachers of Ontario and through the Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation. Martha participated in creating the Ontario Principals’ Council and served as an executive for 6 years, holding the position of President in 2001-2002. In this role, she had the honour of representing the principals of Ontario at the provincial, national and international levels. Upon her retirement in 2007, she joined RTOERO, chairing a number of committees and serving as President/Chair from 2016-2020. Currently, Martha is a member of the RTOERO Board of Directors, with a focus on meeting the needs of older adults across Canada and on advocating for healthy ageing.
