Hannah Gans

Hannah Gans is a University of Toronto PhD student studying ageism and intersectionality, with a particular focus on how older adults are stereotyped and judged at the intersection of age, race, and gender. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology from McGill University.

Her research is driven by a commitment to supporting well-being across adulthood and later life, especially through understanding and addressing prejudice toward older adults in society. She also brings experience conducting ageism-related research and is completing a collaborative specialization in Aging, Palliative & Supportive Care across the Life Course with the social work program at the University of Toronto.

Hannah’s participation at the NIA was possible thanks to the NIA’s partnership with Entente Education Canada.
