The National Institute on Ageing Announces New Collaboration with TELUS Health to Support Independent Living for Older Adults

Today, the National Institute on Ageing (NIA) announced a collaboration with TELUS Health to help raise public awareness about assistive technologies that can support older adults maintain active and independent lives. With a contribution of $100,000 from TELUS Health, the NIA is publishing print and online resources to inform older adults and their caregivers on how technology can enhance social inclusion, functional ability, health, well-being and safety.

Le National Institute on Ageing (NIA) annonce aujourd’hui une collaboration avec TELUS Santé visant à faire connaître au public les technologies d’assistance ayant pour objectif de permettre aux personnes âgées de maintenir un mode de vie actif et indépendant. Grâce à une contribution de 100 000 $ de la part de TELUS Santé, le NIA sera en mesure de mettre à disposition des documents imprimés et des ressources en ligne dans le but d’informer les personnes âgées et leurs aidants sur la façon dont la technologie peut favoriser l’inclusion sociale, les capacités fonctionnelles, la santé, le mieux-être et la sécurité.
