How visiting seniors for Valentine’s Day was a win for these kids, too

Samir Sinha, a geriatrician at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto, Ontario, said that what looks like just a group of people getting together for some bingo actually supports both seniors and young people.

Although the seniors at Jasper Place might be lonely, he explained that they are actually likely experiencing social isolation, which is different.

“We could be surrounded by people all the time… but we may not have a meaningful connection with anyone around us,” he told CBC Kids News.
