Dr. Caroline Green

Dr. Caroline Green is the Director of Research at the Institute for Ethics in AI at the University of Oxford where she currently undertakes research to understand the meaning of ‘responsible AI’ in business contexts and specifically how to engage with stakeholders to assess and mitigate AI related risks and opportunities. Her academic background is human rights and her research has focused on the human rights of older people and human rights in health and social care contexts. Caroline holds a PhD in Gerontology from King’s College London, an MA in Investigative Journalism from City University of London, an MSC in Human Rights from the LSE and a law degree from the University of Edinburgh. She started her career in international development and human rights, working for the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), the Council of Europe, Amnesty International and UNHCR.
