Dr. Ashley Flanagan
Dr. Ashley Flanagan (she/her) is the Senior Knowledge Broker at the Ontario Centre for Learning, Research and Innovation in Long-Term Care (CLRI) at Bruyere. She holds a PhD in Aging, Health, and Wellbeing from the University of Waterloo. Prior to her current role, Dr. Flanagan served as the Health Research and Policy Manager at the National Institute on Ageing (NIA) at Toronto Metropolitan University, where she focused on 2SLGBTQIA+ ageing and old age. Her work at the NIA aimed to advance comprehensive health and wellness policies, programs, and services for older adults with diverse sexual orientations and gender identities. Now, at the CLRI, Dr. Flanagan continues to focus on equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) in long-term care settings.
